Speaker Bio: Keith Peraino is a Registered Nurse with a BA from Lehigh University, a BSN from Jacksonville University, a MS in Healthcare Administration and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Villanova.

Keith spent years directing extensive organizing campaigns working in conjunction with the major unions such as NYSNA, CNA, AFT and SEIU. Throughout his tenure, it became more apparent that as workers were organized, there was little to no gain for the workers and nothing was being accomplished through collective bargaining. In addition, the union was taking strike votes routinely and post-strike had accomplished nothing except lost money for the workers and lost healthcare benefits, not to mention a decrease in the quality of patient care.

He has extensive campaign experience and was a senior human resources official and employee relations manager for the largest healthcare system in New Jersey. Keith’s experience with the union, organizing, negotiating, and handling contract administration and arbitrations has provided rare insight into the methodology currently employed the nation’s largest healthcare and non- healthcare unions. Since then, he has been involved with campaigns against the Teamsters, CNA, SEIU, NYSNA, IBT, UFCW, IUOE, and IBEW, as well as management training in both healthcare and non- healthcare. In addition, Keith has given many presentations to SHRM and Nursing organizations throughout the Country.

This program has been submitted to HRCI and SHRM Certification for 1 re-certification credit.
