Please join us for our November Lunch Meeting!

We spend so much time worrying about “the now”, we rarely turn our focus to “the future”, the future built from the hard work and dreams that lie within our own company’s retirement plan. The Dept. of Labor plans to expand the definition of a retirement plan fiduciary; which potentially places HR professionals within that definition. HR professionals have an invaluable role to play in the oversight and fiduciary liabilities of retirement plans today and this presentation is designed to give HR professionals new knowledge and a road map for their role.

The lecture will include:

  • WHO IS A FIDUCIARY? DUTY – STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
  • RULES & REGULATIONS – DOING JUST THE BARE MINIMUM
  • AVOIDING FIDUCIARY DILEMMAS
  • AUDITS & FINES
  • A CHECKLIST FOR A HEALTHY 401k

Speaker Bio:

My focus in our firm is retirement income. I give my clients what their current advisors haven't... their retirement strategies. People want one thing for retirement, emotional confidence that all their saving and hard work has a happy ending, because your financial life is made up of more than just numbers. That is where my passion is. It makes me smile working with clients to plan for and know what to expect financially and emotionally when it comes to retiring.

I am privileged to lecture extensively on financial topics for continuing education in order to benefit others. I'm also an avid runner and I believe in envisioning the finish line of any goal or dream you have. Once you see yourself crossing that finish line, you can then chart your best course of action on how to get there. The same goes with your financial life, knowing where you want to go and how you want to feel lets you craft a better result.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and son. We are always involved in community activities every opportunity we get, and when I have the chance you'll find me running and training for marathons. My favorite Saturday morning activity is watching British Premier League Soccer. I cheer on Chelsea (Go Blues)....but I really just love a dramatic game...whoever is playing.
